Today marks the departure of seven games from Xbox Game Pass, with two popular titles from Sega—Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6—among them. This lineup also sees Lies of P exiting as it gears up for its Overture expansion, which is expected to launch in the summer of 2025.
As of March 15, Xbox Game Pass is trimming its selection, losing a total of seven titles. This is the first round of game removals for March 2025, but it certainly won’t be the last. Gamers can expect more games to leave later this month, following Microsoft’s usual pattern of withdrawing titles from the Game Pass catalog every two weeks. For instance, back on February 28, nine games left the service, including well-known names like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and PAW Patrol World.
Set to leave today, March 15, are No More Heroes 3, Evil West, Solar Ash, Lies of P, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. The list also includes Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, further highlighting Sega’s connection to this departure list.
Games Exiting Xbox Game Pass Today
- Evil West (Added Mar 2024): 11-22 hours
- Lies of P (Added Sep 2023): 29-58 hours
- No More Heroes 3 (Added Mar 2024): 12-28 hours
- Solar Ash (Added Sep 2023): 6-9 hours
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (Added Mar 2024): 9-14 hours
- Yakuza 5 Remastered (Added Jan 2021): 36-157 hours
- Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (Added Mar 2021): 18-55 hours
Initially, MLB The Show 24 was also listed as leaving on March 15, but this game has since been removed from the departure list, indicating it will remain available for a while longer.
For completionists, time is of the essence. Heart Machine’s Solar Ash is the shortest at roughly nine hours for a full playthrough, making it a tough task to complete any of these departing games before they vanish. Typically, these games will be removed around midnight local time.
What’s on the Horizon for Xbox Game Pass?
As March 2025 unfolds, more games are slated to leave Xbox Game Pass, likely announced alongside the month’s next wave of incoming titles. If history is a guide, this announcement should arrive on Tuesday, March 18. That’s when 33 Immortals, the multiplayer roguelike by Thunder Lotus Games, best known for Spiritfarer, is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Another confirmed addition for March is Atomfall, a thrilling post-apocalyptic action-adventure game, set to hit the service on March 27.
