Can you hear that bizarre symphony of farts, beeps, and those iconic Mortal Kombat announcer lines? It’s the chaos of 3,683 add-ons all going haywire in World of Warcraft Classic. YouTuber Baltoboulbobbi decided to throw caution to the wind, loading up this mountain of custom tools and effects just to see the results—and it’s pure pandemonium.
Right from the start of Baltoboulbobbi’s video, the sheer number of add-ons makes the actual game world disappear completely. It’s an absolute catastrophe, making those cluttered browser toolbars from the early 2000s seem mild in comparison. As they struggle to glimpse WoW beneath the chaos, the barrage of blaring car horns and dazzling visual effects seems to scream in protest. With their unclothed Tauren awkwardly stranded in the screen’s corner, I somehow caught sight of four different health bars in the chaos.
“Game has become Mahjong,” the overlay text comically declares before Baltoboulbobbi concedes to attempt some combat. After meticulously dragging a Lightning Bolt spell to one of the 90 action bar slots clogging the screen, they launch an attack on an enemy. The game visibly strains, accompanied by a relentless fart sound effect. Just when you think it can’t get any stranger, there’s a sly “Among Us” whisper, swiftly followed by the Mortal Kombat-esque shout of “Finish him!” (or perhaps, an impressively close impersonation). Throughout this reckless endeavor, the frame rate stubbornly refuses to rise above the 20 mark, except when it plunges to zero.
The remainder of the video is like a nightmare for anyone remotely familiar with WoW—especially those who’ve accidentally left a few add-ons enabled. The fact that the game persevered without crashing is almost an achievement in itself. According to Baltoboulbobbi’s video description, they even had to disable a handful of add-ons just to keep the game from collapsing entirely.
For most players, add-ons are handy tools for tracking performance in dungeons or giving Blizzard’s user interface a more polished look. Yet, no one but Baltoboulbobbi would dare, or perhaps be crazy enough, to burden their game with thousands of add-ons for pure amusement. It’s hardly shocking that the game becomes largely unplayable, but it’s undeniably fascinating to see that it’s technically doable to attempt such madness.
In the comments of the video, Baltoboulbobbi challenges that if the video hits 20,000 views, they’ll try leveling a character from one to 60 on a permadeath Hardcore server, with all add-ons enabled. And guess what? The video has already soared past 100,000 views.
