French gaming heavy-hitter Ubisoft has brought on board Sébastien Froidefond as their new Chief People Officer. Set to begin his role on November 20th, Froidefond will report directly to Cécile Russeil, Ubisoft’s Executive Vice President of Communications, Corporate Affairs, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Accessibility, Human Resources, and Legal.
With an impressive 30-year track record in human resources, Froidefond most recently held the position of HR lead for the Americas at food industry leader Groupe Lactalis. Ubisoft shared that Froidefond will take charge of a wide array of HR responsibilities, including talent development, nurturing workplace culture, overseeing global recruitment, talent management, leadership development, as well as compensation and benefits.
In addition to these tasks, Froidefond’s role will be pivotal in aligning HR efforts with Ubisoft’s strategic goals. His predecessor, Anika Grant, left her position as Chief People Officer in November 2023.
