Naughty Dog has just released a new update for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, and it’s a mix of ups and downs for players. On the upside, the latest patch, version 2.0.1, successfully brings back some of the missing unlockable features, which had disappeared in the previous update. Unfortunately, there’s a catch: to get these features back, you’ll need an older save file.
Now, let’s dive into the specifics of the 2.0.1 update for the PS5. The patch reintroduces campaign unlockables such as extra weapon holsters and skill points. However, to reinstate these, players need to revisit save files from before April 3, 2025, at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. If your progress was saved after this date but before installing patch 2.0.1, those unlockables may still be missing.
If you’ve overwritten your save files, it seems you’re currently out of luck on this front. But there’s more to the story. Naughty Dog is aware of another issue affecting players: No Return skins that went AWOL following patch 2.0.0. While they work on a fix for this, they’ve asked players, who have encountered this problem, to get in touch with their support team for assistance.
Stay tuned for more updates as we’re keeping a close eye on when the next hotfix will drop and will keep you posted with the latest developments. Keep those controllers nearby!
