Studio Wildcard has rolled out a new content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, looking ahead to updates that span until the end of 2026. Ever since its early access release in late November 2023, the UE5-enhanced remake of ARK: Survival Evolved has been getting regular updates, and it seems there’s a lot more on the horizon.
The fresh roadmap encompasses quite a few exciting changes and additions. The main focus appears to be on shifting ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5, a tweak sure to bring substantial performance upgrades. This technical patch will drop in March 2025, marking the reintroduction of Nvidia frame generation, a feature removed in 2024 due to some engine hiccups.
Hop over to April, and you’ll see the game welcoming a free Ragnarok Ascended map, with a nifty Bison as a free creature, plus a Fantastic Tame. As we roll into June, players can expect a brand-new premium map, yet untitled, that will be part of paid DLC. Expect more details on this map come spring.
Set your sights on August 2025 for more treats. That’s when Valguero Ascended will be delivered for free, complete with a community-voted creature and another Fantastic Tame. Then, into 2026, the game will turn its focus to revamping the Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for an April debut, with Part 2 following in August, each paired with a part of Bob’s True Tales—a fresh content add-on from the game’s season pass.
December of that year will see the Fjordur map get its remastered spotlight as a free upgrade. And, throughout 2026, three new Fantastic Tames will make their way into the game. Although this is the current roadmap, there might be more surprises on the horizon, as the big-picture overview could change with new developments.
For anyone eager to dive back into the world of ARK or for newcomers curious about this expansive universe, there’s plenty to look forward to as Studio Wildcard continues to expand and refine this engaging gaming experience.
