Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is gearing up for its big launch on PC and consoles set for February 11th. But that’s not the only exciting news! Firaxis and 2K Games just announced that a version of the game is also on its way to Quest later this spring.
This Quest-exclusive edition is crafted specifically for Meta Quest 3 and 3S, offering players a unique chance to build their civilizations from a first-person view. Imagine towering over the map in both VR and MR modes—it’s a whole new way to play.
Developed by PlaySide Studios and published by 2K, the VR version of Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is set to deliver engaging solo and online multiplayer experiences, allowing up to four players with Quest 3 and 3S to compete or collaborate in real-time.
One exciting feature of this version is its immersive interaction with the iconic world leaders of the series. These leaders come to life, confronting players directly as they negotiate alliances or declare wars.
Although there’s no specific release date yet, 2K has promised a spring 2025 release window, revealed during the Civ World Summit event over the weekend. While waiting, eager fans can add Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR to their wishlist on the Horizon Store for Quest 3 and 3S.
