3R Games, the creative minds behind Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street (2022), recently announced that their game has achieved impressive success, selling over 310,000 copies exclusively on the Quest platform.
Last week, the studio shared this milestone in a post on social media, specifying that these figures include sales on all Quest headsets, such as the Quest 2, 3, 3S, and Pro. It’s noteworthy, though, that the game is also accessible on PSVR 2.
3R Games has confirmed that these numbers reflect actual sales. With the game usually selling for $20 on Quest, it’s theoretically pulled in around $6.2 million in revenue. Of course, the game has seen price drops during sales, sometimes going for as little as $9, as it is at the moment. However, additional income has likely been generated from various paid expansion packs, cementing its earnings comfortably within the single-digit million range.
Since its launch in July 2022, Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street has offered players a captivating slice of the burglary experience that fans loved in the original flat-screen game, Thief Simulator (2018) by Noble Muffins.
Unlike Thief Simulator VR (2020) by GameBoom VR—which was available only on PC VR headsets—Greenview Street focuses entirely on the named neighborhood.
Following its launch, 3R Games expanded the game world with paid DLCs, including Richie R. Street, The Motel, and Spooky House, along with various paid skin packs. For Quest players, there’s an option to purchase the main game and all its expansions together in a bundle for $23.
