So let’s dive into this rather quirky mishmash between Diablo 4 and, drumroll please… Berserk! Yep, that wild and kinda dark anime and manga some folks swear by. Blizzard decided this rendezvous was worth spilling the beans early—not that anyone actually keeps beans in a can anymore, right? For the impatient, though, here’s the deal.
Imagine May 6 rolls around, and bam, you’ve got a month-long party till June 3 in Diablo. This isn’t some grand adventure—nope, you’re mainly here for the flashy cosmetics. The game says it’s a “gameplay event,” but let’s be real, it ain’t much of a challenge. The real prize? Dressing up your Diablo folks like they’ve just come out of a Berserk episode.
Okay, picture this. You’re taking down elite baddies and out drops—wait for it—Behelits. Fancy name for something that’s basically event currency. Not exactly a mountain goblet, but it’ll do. Anyway, you trade these Behelits for goodies you can use in the ever-mysterious ‘Berserk Reliquary’. Sounds fancy, yeah?
Now, drumroll again: what are these cosmic collectibles, you ask? Well, there’s the Hawks Destiny Back Trophy and the Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor—or whatever those are supposed to be. Then there’s the Brand of Sacrifice Marking, like some mark of doom or victory, who knows. Snag ’em all, and you get something called the Od of the Berserker Emblem. Bonus points if anyone’s figured out what ‘Od’ means yet.
Here’s the kicker—there’s more than just these freebies. You’ve got amor sets (typed it like that because, why not?): Berserker for Barbarians, Skull Knight for Necromancers, Hawk of Light for Rogues, and finally, The Struggler—also for Rogues, because struggling can be versatile, apparently.
But wait, as infomercials would say, there’s more! Enter The Schnoz—a peculiar pet which, for some odd reason, made me think of my dog chasing dust balls. Pair this with Mask Rakshas Mount Trophy and Chimimoryo’s weird resemblance, you’ve got a motley virtual wardrobe. Add to that the Warhorse of the Hawk, a mount (not a horse at this point, doesn’t it sound like it’d sprout wings?).
Those who like to splash cash (or watch Twitch streamers do their thing) can snag the elusive Skull Behelit Mount Trophy. Stay tuned—as if we weren’t already—for dribs and drabs about this. Anyway, check out season 8 coming soon, with an overflowing basket of new battle systems, boss power-ups, and other gaming ju-jitsu.
The end, for now, I think. Or maybe not. But probably.
