Pocketpair’s latest update for Palworld is causing quite a buzz, and for good reason. Now, players can enjoy cross-play functionality across all platforms. They’ve also introduced the “Global Palbox,” a nifty feature that lets you store Pal data, making it easier than ever to transfer your beloved Pals between different worlds. This promising update, labeled v0.5.0, is out now and packed with an array of fresh features, balance tweaks, user interface updates, and of course, a slew of bug fixes.
Back in 2024, Palworld captured the hearts of monster-taming enthusiasts, and even now, its charm hasn’t waned. Its continued success speaks volumes, especially with Pocketpair announcing in February 2025 that Palworld has drawn in a massive player base of over 32 million across various platforms like PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game combines creature collection, crafting, building, and combat, all wrapped up in a thrilling open-world setting. Thanks to ongoing improvements and content additions, Palworld remains as relevant and exciting as ever—with this new update offering a fresh batch of features for players to dive into.
Pocketpair has rolled out the much-anticipated crossplay update for Palworld, opening up connections across all gaming platforms. With update v0.5.0 now live, players can benefit from the Global Palbox and transfer their Pals freely between worlds. Not only that, but there’s also a substantial new storage system available for Guild members to tap into. Another highlight of the update is the Cosmetic Armour System, which lets players tweak their character’s look without compromising on armor stats.
Included in this crossplay update is a sparkling new Photo Mode. Access it through the Pal Command Wheel, hide the user interface, and snap away spectacular screenshots. The update also unveils the Drafting Table, a feature that enables the creation of high-end blueprints by merging simpler ones. Numerous updates span the game’s universe; for instance, structures can now be placed even if a Pal happens to be in the way.
As players wander through Palworld, they might notice new NPCs and enhanced behavior during their engagements. Human NPCs sport new work animations, and the rewards for NPC events have been restructured, with all conversation logs reset to let players claim rewards once more. That’s not all—chest rewards now consistently drop Dog Coins to sweeten the deal.
This latest update also revamped the UI, introducing a Favorites categorization into 1, 2, and 3 groups. There’s a new sorting function for the Pal Box and a handy “Extra Large” text size option. Bug fixes abound, targeting issues with combat, exploration, and dedicated servers, among others. With all these exciting new features, players are encouraged to dive in and test out the revamped Palworld cross-play experience.
