You know what’s kinda funny? How you can just find yourself – boom – bewildered smack dab in the midst of all sorts of gaming stuff you didn’t even realize you cared about. Anyway, someone’s gotta listen to me ramble, so here we go. We’re back – me, Sid, Kristen, and Tim, trying to look smart while dissecting Days Gone Remastered (it’s a thing again, apparently). Oh, and then there’s this indie scene-stealer, Blue Prince. No idea why or how it’s popular, and yet, here we are talking about it.
So Tim, right? The dude’s giving us his list of top five Playstation games played ever. I mean, the kind of list that makes you question what you’re doing with your own PlayStation. Oh, and in between it all, can you believe it, there are new titles everyone’s been sneaking off to try. And talking about sneaky, next week’s release highlights have the potential to eat up your gaming soul — or something along those lines.
Brace yourself for some names, Darkest Dungeon II (for both the PS5 and the PS4 — gotta love inclusivity), Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (just PS5, sorry old-gen lovers), and get this, EA Sports College Football 25 for PS5. Can’t make this stuff up. Yep, I’m loving the chaos already.
Oh hey, by the way, someone (me) apparently has a thing for behind-the-scenes stuff. So yeah, check out Blue Prince and their dev stories. Or not. Whatever floats your boat, right? But, oooh, don’t miss the PlayStation Portal’s Cloud Game Streaming Beta – if you’re into clouds and beta testing and all. And Days Gone Remastered with the sparkly new Horde Assault mode – because who doesn’t love more ways to completely annihilate enemies.
Not to harp on it, but Bloom & Rage Lost Records somehow decided that tapes are making a comeback. Tape 2, to be exact. It’s like, do we need more retro vibes or what? Then there’s The Last of Us Complete — chilling on the PS5, waiting to devour your weekends.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Sounds exhausting already, right? Yet, I’ve heard it’s got some serious PS5 Pro features going on. Makes me wonder, though — does Indy even like circles? Assassin’s Creed Shadows follows suit with more updates and I’m honestly here just trying to keep up.
So they dropped the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for April too. Extra and Premium, both getting stuff. Hogwarts Legacy, yes that one! And, of course, Blue Prince on PS5 again. They really want you to play that game. Along with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Tape 2, of course, EA Sports PGA Tour, Battlefield 1 and that cheeky chappy PlateUp! Sound enticing?
And for the Premium peeps, a slice of Alone in the Dark 2, and War of the Monsters (PS4, PS5). Pretty much the gaming equivalent of a buffet for picky eaters.
Oh, hey! Did you notice that image up there of the dude who makes the game magic happen, Tim Turi? Content Communications Manager and pretty much, well, a manager of all things gaming buzz at SIE.
By the way, shout-out to Dormilón for the theme tunes and groovy show music. I swear, they give the podcast that nice flair of coolness. Anyway – sigh – editor’s note insists I remind ya: game release dates are as predictable as the weather. Could change anytime. Game details are nabbed from press releases and rating descriptions, blah blah, ya get the drift.
Okay. Think I’ve run out of things to overshare. Enjoy diving into the gaming chaos. I’m sure I’ll be back with more nonsensical ramblings soon enough.
