Xbox has just unveiled a new feature called compact mode, which initially was exclusive to Xbox Insiders but is now available to all PC gamers. This update brings with it some management options and other exciting features.
According to an announcement on Xbox Wire, the compact mode provides users with a quicker and more streamlined way to access widgets and navigate the system. By using the RB and LB buttons on their controllers, players can effortlessly switch between different widgets. Additionally, Xbox is enhancing the experience with virtual keyboard support.
Game Management Options
For those interested in managing their game libraries more efficiently, Xbox now allows players to download and install all their game add-ons at once. This handy feature lets you see all your add-ons in a single view. To activate this option, right-click on any game you have installed in your library, choose “Manage,” and head to the new “Add-ons” section.

The Xbox Mobile App
Xbox is also working on bringing some cool features from the PC app over to the mobile app. While these will first be available to Xbox members on mobile, plans are in place to eventually roll them out to all users. However, one change noted is that after November, the Xbox Game Pass app will no longer support new downloads.

The Xbox App on mobile is packed with robust features, allowing users to manage their memberships and explore their game library on the go. Those with the Ultimate Tier of Game Pass will find added benefits, including the ability to claim perks and stream select games via Xbox Cloud Gaming on their iOS or Android devices using a supported browser.
Apart from these, the app offers options to share game clips, compare progress, make video calls while playing, and more. It even allows you to install games on your console remotely.
Xbox Consoles Pre-Download Feature
For console users, a fantastic update enables you to jump into games right as updates go live without delay. Moreover, if there are games on your wish list, notifications will pop up on your console as soon as one becomes available.
