In the upcoming game “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,” fans have the exciting opportunity to dress up the ever-popular Goro Majima in the iconic attire of Kiryu Kazuma, the beloved Yakuza protagonist. To unlock this Dragon of Dojima outfit, players just need to sign up for email notifications from Sega.
If you’re eager to snag this exclusive costume, all you have to do is head over to the Sega website and register by February 25. It’s just a few days after the game itself is set to launch on February 21. But, be warned, there’s a bit of small print involved when you enter your email address.
Signing up means you’ll also receive emails about Sega’s latest products, services, news, and event invitations. The fine print emphasizes, “By clicking subscribe, I confirm I would like to receive updates by email about products and services, news, and invitations to events from any of the Sega group companies.” It also notes that you can unsubscribe at any time through the link in the emails.
However, there’s no checkbox to select or deselect these terms when you’re signing up, meaning agreeing to these communications is part of the package deal for getting the Dragon of Dojima outfit. What’s not entirely clear, though, is whether unsubscribing from those emails will prevent you from receiving the costume code once the game is out since the download code won’t be sent until release day.
“Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” is an intriguing spin-off sequel to “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth,” the latest entry in the Yakuza / Like a Dragon saga—or the ninth if you count “Yakuza 0.” This adventure follows Majima as he grapples with amnesia, takes on the life of a pirate, and explores exotic locales like Hawaii.
In October’s Xbox Partner Showcase, a tantalizing trailer gave fans a sneak peek at thrilling ship battles reminiscent of “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag” and celebrated the return of Taiga Saejima, hinting at deeper connections to the main series than anticipated.
Expect this game to offer a heftier experience compared to previous spin-offs like “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name,” with a storyline estimated to take around 15 to 18 hours to complete.
