Vibrant, Vivid, and Fast: Introducing MSI’s Latest MPG Gaming Monitors
Just unveiled today by MSI, these two new gaming monitors are designed with enthusiasts in mind. The MPG 491CQPX leads the charge with its massive 49-inch screen, delivering a resolution of 5120 x 1440p (DQHD). Upgraded from its predecessor, this monitor now sports an impressive 240Hz refresh rate, offering a seamless display.
The second offering, the MPG 321URXW, features a compact yet striking 32-inch QD-OLED panel. It mirrors the same 240Hz refresh rate while adding modern features and connectivity. Both models aim to elevate the viewing and gaming experience with their spectacular QD-OLED technology and a contrast ratio of a striking 1.5M:1.
MPG 491CQPX: An Expansive Gaming Canvas
The MPG 491CQPX is like having two QHD monitors side by side, creating a panoramic view perfect for racing games and productivity or cinematic tasks. It boasts a 240Hz refresh rate on an 1800R curved screen, immersing users in the action. With a lightning-fast 0.03ms response time, gamers can enjoy fluid play and minimal ghosting.
Launched in August, this monitor has been discussed in detail before. Priced at $1,199, it’s a premium product that includes modern connectivity options such as multiple display outputs and USB ports, along with 98W charging.
MPG 321URXW: Small but Mighty
Sporting a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio and 4K resolution, the MPG 321URXW dazzles with vibrant and crisp visuals. Like its larger sibling, it operates at a 240Hz refresh rate with a rapid 0.03ms GtG response time. The 31.5-inch flat screen is optimal for competitive gaming.
In addition to gaming, this monitor is ideal for color grading, offering a broad color spectrum: 99% DCI-P3, 97% Adobe RGB, and 138% sRGB coverage, with Delta E<2 color accuracy. Thanks to its true 10-bit color depth, it can display over a billion colors, and it supports HDR with up to 1,000 Nits brightness.
Connectivity is cutting-edge, featuring HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4a, and ample USB ports for device connections and 90W power delivery charging. Priced at 6,999 Yuan (approximately US$970), discounts during the Double 11 sales event will drop it to 6,499 Yuan (around US$900).
Both monitors incorporate advanced technologies like MSI OLED Care 2.0, which includes features to prevent burn-in, such as multi-log, taskbar, and boundary detection.
