Intel has officially announced the upcoming debut of its next-gen Arc Battlemage GPUs, with a showcase planned for December 3rd.
Intel Set to Display Select "Battlemage" SKUs at Upcoming Event, Likely Featuring Arc B580/B570 GPUs
The buzz about Intel’s Battlemage SKUs might be nearing its end, as we’re gearing up for an official reveal set for next week. Initially, it was thought that Intel would launch these new GPUs by the first quarter of 2025. However, it seems the timeline has shifted, with things expected to kick off in December. This unexpected change certainly adds a layer of intrigue.
While details of the event remain under wraps, it’s highly anticipated that Intel will introduce its next-gen Arc "Battlemage" B580 and B570 SKUs, which will succeed the existing Arc series GPUs. From what’s been gathered, the Arc Battlemage B580 is geared to sport 160 CUs, approximately 20 Xe Cores, bundled with 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit memory bus. It’s aimed at the "mid-tier" market segment. The GPU promises up to a 2.8 GHz max boost clock, paired with dual 8-pin power connectors, and expected pricing hovers around $250-$260.
Intel’s Arc Battlemage B580 Highlights:
- 12GB 192-bit GDDR6
- Battlemage BMG-G21 GPU (20 Xe Cores)
- Intel Xe2-HPG Architecture
- 2850 MHz Max Boost Clocks
- Intel Xe Super Sampling (Intel XeSS)
- Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (Intel XMX)
Concerning the Intel Arc B570, very little has been disclosed so far. It’s anticipated to deliver performance close to that of the B580, albeit with some changes, possibly in Xe core counts. Previously, Intel, often referred to as Team Blue, was expected to introduce only two SKUs, although more might surface later, in response to market demand. What stands out is Intel’s decision to release a "Limited Edition" model of the Arc Battlemage B580, giving it a priority in terms of review embargoes.
Additionally, we’re looking forward to comprehensive updates regarding Intel’s "Battlemage" dGPUs and the company’s steadfast dedication to this part of the PC industry. As always, keep an eye out for the latest on Intel’s Battlemage desktop GPU lineup.
