HOOP-O Studios, a fresh face in the indie gaming scene aiming to innovate with mixed reality experiences, recently revealed some exciting news. They’re gearing up to release their new game, Alex and the Jets, on the Quest 3 headset next month, and it promises to take players on a high-flying adventure.
This game delivers an enjoyable, casual arcade-style flying experience where you step into the shoes—or, rather, the paws—of Alex the Squirrel. Equipped with a snazzy little fixed-wing propeller plane, Alex faces aerial adversaries from ‘The Jets’ gang. These foes make a dramatic entrance, bursting through portals that appear in your living room walls, which adds a thrilling twist. Players will have to deftly maneuver, shoot down these menacing aircraft, and skillfully fly through donut-like goals that offer handy power-ups and health boosts.
Beyond the heat of battle, Alex and the Jets offers a free roam mode, providing a stress-free way to zip around your room and have some fun without the intense competition. Additionally, you’ll find local leaderboards to keep track of your score and progress. The game also features a cosmetic store where you can unlock stylish new outfits for Alex, adding a touch of personalization to your adventure.
