The mod cleverly introduces an automated feature to V’s in-game phone, breaking up the endless stream of game-related texts with quirky feline facts you control through the mod’s settings. Suddenly, a pop-up from a new contact, ‘Catfacts’, delivers a fun tidbit like, “A group of cats is called a clowder.” Then, just as easily, it vanishes after you read it, leaving your inbox clutter-free. Curious about where these fun facts originate? They pull from a free online API named Catfact.ninja, thanks to another Cyberpunk mod called ‘RedHttpClient’ which fetches these random nuggets of feline wisdom. Not a fan of cats? No problem—switch it up in the settings to receive dog-related facts instead through the DogAPI. According to their website, the dog facts come from a collection submitted by the public, so you’re getting a diverse mix of pet trivia.
For those who appreciate transparency, MisterChedda has generously shared the mod’s source code on GitHub. This move lets the curious minds out there verify that the mod sticks to requests about cats and dogs only.
