Out of the blue, Death Stranding Director’s Cut made its debut on Xbox yesterday, and we’ve dived into comparing its performance across both of Microsoft’s current-gen consoles. The initial findings? Quite impressive.
While there are certainly distinctions between the Xbox Series X and Series S versions, the game delivers a visually appealing experience regardless of your choice. The Series X showcases a slightly smoother performance, but don’t underestimate the Series S; it’s holding its ground admirably.
Considering that Death Stranding began its journey on the PS4, it’s probably not shocking to see it adapt well to Xbox platforms. Nevertheless, it’s always a delight to experience another solid port for Xbox fans. If you’re curious and want a taste of Kojima’s unique creation on the Xbox Series X|S, I’d recommend checking out our handy comparison video above.
However, a heads-up is in order: you might want to steer clear of using Quick Resume with Death Stranding on Xbox right now. There’s a pesky bug affecting game saves, so it’s best to fully exit the game when you’re done, at least until the developers roll out a fix.
So, how do you feel about Death Stranding’s Xbox run? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so drop your comments below.
