The latest update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has dropped, bringing yet another adjustment to the often-discussed Recon Combat Specialty Perk and introducing a new 10v10 Moshpit playlist. Treyarch has provided insights into the tweaks made in the November 8 update via a post on their official site, addressing several lingering issues reported by players since the game’s release. What’s probably getting most players excited, however, is the introduction of the 10v10 playlist. This offers larger lobbies on a range of Black Ops 6’s Multiplayer maps, including the famously chaotic Nuketown. Fans should brace themselves for even more mayhem, given what 6v6 chaos on Nuketown is already like. While the classic Nuketown 24/7 playlist option remains available, there’s now a fresh Stakeout 24/7 playlist to dive into as well.
One notable tweak is another reduction for the Recon perk, which has been a sore spot for weeks. Previously allowing players to see through walls briefly after respawn, the perk’s timer was initially pegged at two full seconds, drawing comparisons to unofficial cheats like wallhacks. Treyarch has since reduced this to 1.5 seconds, and now, with today’s update, it’s down to just one second.
Regulars on Multiplayer will notice you can no longer exit the map in Lowtown with today’s changes. Additionally, there are a slew of general updates focused on improving stability and adjusting XP earn rates. Zombies mode hasn’t been left out either, receiving fixes for several glitches and patching a Tactical Raft exploit that allowed players to make the vehicle airborne on Terminus.
While today’s Black Ops 6 update is relatively smaller compared to some we’ve seen lately, that’s just because Treyarch is gearing up for a significant Season 1 update coming next week. We got a glimpse of what’s to come with the new season only yesterday, with promises of new Multiplayer maps, additions to Zombies, and a revamped Warzone. Plus, a mid-season refresh is in the pipeline, with Ranked Play set to be introduced later this month.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 made an impressive debut on October 25 for both PC and consoles, and it’s easy to see why. We rated this year’s installment an 8/10 for its Multiplayer and another 8/10 for its Zombies mode. As for when the next patch is arriving, given the current pace, it shouldn’t be too far off.
