Hold onto your controllers, because there’s some thrilling buzz in the gaming world! The social media grapevine is lighting up with fantastic news from 2XKO, making March far more exciting than anticipated. What’s all the excitement about, you ask? Well, there’s an announcement about an upcoming development update video that promises a thorough briefing on updates to the game, Jinx, and the forthcoming Alpha Lab test.
This update comes straight from the desk of Mr. Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO, who took to Twitter with the latest scoop. He shared, “We just filmed the next 2XKO update! We’re still in the midst of editing, production, and localization, but here’s what’s on the horizon: a comprehensive look at our gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (including Jinx!), insights on Alpha Lab 2, and a showcase match featuring the dev team.”
In his tweet, Ben goes on to say, “This update dives deep, so expect the video to be pretty lengthy—probably around an hour. We’re aiming for a release in the last week of March. While we’re not quite ready for the grand stage of PowerPoint livestreams yet, that’s certainly a goal for the future.”
Now, as much as you’re hyped, temper your expectations just a bit. Ben clarified there won’t be any new character reveals in this update, so hold off on any wild speculations.
Flashback to last year when the 2XKO crew left us with a “See you next year” hint, promising fresh details in February. As it turns out, game director Shaun Rivera later took to Twitter to announce some tweaks. These changes include a revised scope for the upcoming Alpha Labs test and a new approach for the game.
It seems that some internal shifts at Riot and adjustments to the Alpha Lab plans have bumped the anticipated February update to this month. Nevertheless, it’s promising to get a fresh batch of insights on what’s happening, what the team is polishing, and where we might catch onto 2XKO next out in the real world.
