FX is back at it, dropping yet another teaser trailer for Alien: Earth, a gentle reminder that the project is, well, still a project. But don’t get your hopes up about seeing much new content just yet.
Seriously though, FX, what’s going on here with all these teasers? The initial teaser dropped last September was intriguing enough — I loved the eerie reflection of Earth on the Xenomorph’s dome. Then we got a quick peek from Disney in their 2025 reel, just enough to keep the buzz going. Shortly after, a second teaser came out, teasing a summer release, but it was basically a replay of the first. And now, without much delay, here we are again with another tease.
This latest snippet lets us see through the eyes of the Xenomorph, navigating a crashing ship’s chaotic corridors. We’re given the perspective, albeit unclear, that it’s racing towards Earth — hinting at the series’ setting. It’s a fun trailer, don’t get me wrong, but it’s the third one! Fourth, if you count that Disney snippet. At this point, I’m starting to feel like this series is just a rumor. Either I’m losing faith, or I desperately need more patience as I wait for a proper, full-length trailer to land and convince me otherwise.
In case you haven’t been following the buzz, here’s the scoop on the show: it all kicks off with a strange spacecraft crashing onto Earth. From this calamity, a young woman, played by Sydney Chandler, along with a motley crew of tactical soldiers, stumbles upon a massive, looming threat to the planet. We know it’s supposed to hit screens this summer, but beyond that, details are scarce. While we twiddle our thumbs waiting, why not revisit Alien: Romulus? It might help fill the void for now.
