AMD Strix Point CPU Drives New Ayaneo 3 Gaming Handheld — Features Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Processor and 7-inch OLED Display

Ayaneo, the renowned name in handheld gaming devices, is back in the headlines with the announcement of their latest flagship console, the Ayaneo 3. This eagerly anticipated release carries forward the legacy of the previous model, maintaining a similar design and button arrangement while enhancing the hardware significantly.

The Ayaneo team shared on their blog that the Ayaneo 3 will come with a choice between two robust processors: the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U or the more formidable AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Users will also enjoy a stunning seven-inch display, available in either a high-refresh LCD or an OLED HDR variant, promising an immersive gaming experience. For added gameplay precision, Ayaneo has introduced two extra buttons at the back of the console, offering players additional control.

However, as of now, Ayaneo has kept mum on further specifications such as RAM capacity, storage options, and pricing details for the Ayaneo 3. Looking back at the Ayaneo 2, it offered models with either 16GB or 32GB of RAM and storage options between 512GB and 2TB. Pricing for the previous model began at $1,099, reaching $1,549 for the limited-edition B.Duck version. We anticipate the Ayaneo 3 will follow a similar pattern, possibly at a slightly higher price.

This innovative addition to the Ayaneo family is set to become one of the first handheld devices to utilize the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. While current games may not yet harness the NPU capabilities of the HX 370, its additional four cores, state-of-the-art Zen 5 architecture, and integrated AMD Radeon 890M GPU make it a powerhouse surpassing the Ryzen 7 8840U. This processing power puts the Ayaneo 3 ahead of several top-tier PC gaming handhelds, many of which run on the Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
