Fans have been pleading with Capcom for what seems like an eternity to revive the beloved Dino Crisis series. While Capcom hasn’t quite delivered on that front, there’s some good news on the horizon. The original Dino Crisis is making its way to the PS4 and PS5 platforms as part of the upcoming batch of PlayStation Plus classics. And that’s not all—Dead Island 2, Ghostbusters, Gris, and a host of other games are also set to join the lineup.
Just recently, on October 9, PlayStation unveiled the list of new additions to its PS Plus Extra and Premium offerings, scheduled to hit the gaming catalog on October 15. Amongst these, it’s surprising yet delightful that a 24-year-old PS1 classic is stealing the spotlight. Dino Crisis’s return, now with some neat quality-of-life tweaks and trophy support, will allow it to be enjoyed on modern consoles. While it might not be the extravagant remake fans have been eagerly anticipating, the fact that Capcom acknowledges Dino Crisis’s continued legacy is noteworthy.
Adding to the nostalgia trip, another survival horror gem, Siren, is also set for a PS Plus debut later this month. Though it might not share the same fame as Dino Crisis, this PS2 cult favorite was crafted by Keiichiro Toyama, the creative mind behind the original Silent Hill.
