Atomfall has just landed, and I must say, it’s an absolute blast. Rebellion’s latest offering marks their debut in the realm of first-person RPGs, combining elements from iconic games like Fallout, Prey, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 into one compelling package.
That being said, Atomfall can sometimes be a bit perplexing. The expansive world it offers can lead players astray if they’re not paying close attention. But don’t fret; I’m here to guide you through one of the trickier aspects: finding Atomic Batteries.
Throughout my adventures in the game, I’ve encountered more Atomic Batteries than you’ll ever need. They’re relatively easy to procure once you know where to search. So, let’s dive into the hunt!
Location 1: Central Processor
Let’s kick things off with the most straightforward find. Right in the heart of the Central Processor, you’ll stumble across an Atomic Battery lying next to a deceased hazmat worker. Just head towards the first main room from any interchange entrance, locate the Central Processor, and the battery is yours for the taking!
Location 2: Molly Jowet
Next, we come across Molly Jowet, a trader you’ll likely meet early on. The catch? You might not initially realize she holds an Atomic Battery. To get your hands on it, you have two choices: trade for it or take it by force. She’s located in Slatten Dale, just to the left path from the first bunker exit. While no one will see you kill her, it does leave a small mark on your conscience.
Location 3: Vicar
Now, let’s head to Wyndham Village, where you’ll find a Vicar embroiled in a scandalous situation within his church. Agree to keep his secret, and you can trade for the Atomic Battery he keeps upstairs. If you’re feeling less diplomatic, you can always go the more criminal route.
Location 4: Skethermoor Pond
This battery is a breeze to collect. Venture into Skethermoor’s protected zone, head to the northeast, and you’ll find a pond with an almost fully submerged robot. Just yank the battery from the robot’s back, and you’re done.
Location 5: Right by Skethermoor Pond!
Right near the last battery, you’ll encounter another trader, Nora, who also possesses a battery. The option to trade remains, but if you prefer, you can opt for a more aggressive approach. I recommend bartering to avoid unwanted consequences.
Location 6: Vehicle Depot
Close to our previous spot, visit the Vehicle Depot. Once inside, take on the outlaws and claim an Atomic Battery for yourself. These districts won’t power themselves!
Location 7: Casterfell Dam
In Casterfell Woods, near the Dam, lies our next target. Ensure you have the Damn Key—found nearby—to access the fenced area where an Atomic Battery awaits you beside a skeleton. Before you proceed, remember to flick the switch in the storeroom to avoid an untimely demise.
Location 8: Casterfell Castle
Our next stop involves a bit of stealth—or a fight. Head to the southwest corner of the map to Casterfell Castle. Sneak inside to avoid a confrontation with the druids, and snag a pristine Atomic Battery beside a chanting priestess.
Bonus Location: Robots
For those feeling bold, robots can also be sources of Atomic Batteries. Overheat them to the point of collapsing, then grab the battery from their back. This method is especially effective with flame bots; just aim for their canisters. While this approach is feasible, I’d recommend tackling it only if you’re well-prepared.
And there you have it, fellow adventurers! With this guide in hand, you should have no trouble sourcing those valuable Atomic Batteries in Atomfall. Happy exploring!
