As a gesture of appreciation for the overwhelming success of their Steam demo launch, Amazing Seasun Games, the brains behind Mecha Break, is gifting all players some complimentary in-game currency. This multiplayer mech game made quite an entrance, rapidly climbing the charts to vie with the likes of Valve’s established titles. Despite its impressive start, player feedback isn’t exactly glowing, with a ‘Mostly Negative’ rating on Steam.
Upon releasing the Mecha Break demo, it quickly shot up in popularity on Steam’s leaderboard. At one point, it managed to snag the fourth position with an impressive 317,522 players online simultaneously. This put it ahead of big names like Marvel Rivals, Rust, and Apex Legends, though it couldn’t quite knock PUBG, Dota 2, or Counter-Strike 2 off their high perches.
To say thanks for this enthusiastic player turnout, Amazing Seasun Games is generously offering 1,000 Corite to every player across all platforms. Corite, as you may know, is one of the game’s premium currencies, and it’s primarily used for purchasing mechs and various cosmetic items.
However, not everything is rosy for Mecha Break. Since the demo’s roll-out, user reviews have been far from favorable. Of the 13,000 reviews submitted to date, a mere 34% have been positive, reflecting dissatisfaction with the game’s monetization and progression systems. Players have expressed concerns about how these elements pervade many facets of the game. It should be mentioned that some of the initial negative reviews were related to server issues due to high demand, but thankfully, those problems have been resolved.
