Combat Waffle, the team behind Ghosts of Tabor, is gearing up to release their newest VR shooter, Silent North. Promising an intense multiplayer zombie survival experience, it is set to debut on both Quest and Steam as part of an early access launch on March 20th.
Set high in the scenic yet treacherous Swiss Alps, and published by Beyond Frames Entertainment, Silent North throws players into a survival scenario. Not only do they have to fend off relentless hordes of zombies, but they also must navigate the dangerous human elements—other survivors with equally ruthless survival instincts.
Players are free to choose their path. Whether you want to team up with fellow survivors or strike out on your own, you’ll need to scavenge for gear and hold your ground against what the studio calls a “never-ending supply of hungry corpses.”
The game’s description spells it out: “Riddled with PVPVE action, you won’t avoid encounters with either human players or the infected. Whether traversing mountains or plains, prepare for heart-pounding firefights to stay alive or to outwit and outmaneuver your enemies. But stay sharp; other players might be lurking, ready for an ambush.”
Silent North is now available for pre-order on the Horizon Store at $17, marking a 15% discount off the anticipated $20 launch price. It’s also possible to add it to your Steam wishlist, with pre-orders offering the same discount when available closer to the launch date.
Although slated for early access on March 20th via Steam and the Horizon Store, the studio hasn’t disclosed specific dates for Silent North’s availability on other VR platforms, including PSVR 2 and Pico headsets.
