We’re gearing up for an action-packed season, Legends! This time around, the community is taking center stage with some of your favorite content creators stepping into the spotlight. Known as Creator Commissioners, these innovative minds will introduce fresh challenges inspired by their own experiences with Apex, offering you the chance to grab some unique rewards. Additionally, kit yourself out with the new Arsenals and dive into brand-new shops filled with all the essentials you need to leap into combat. Get ready not only for an array of Legend updates and brave new shifts in the meta, but also for a grand celebration: the Anniversary Event kicks off with the introduction of more community-driven content and the much-anticipated Mythic R-301. Put a mark on your calendar for February 11—Apex Legends: Takeover is on the horizon!
Over the course of the season, four distinct Creator Commissioners will each take control for two weeks, introducing challenges, exciting game modes both new and beloved, and a bounty of rewards. In your first week, team up with fellow players to tackle Community challenges. Your collective efforts will decide the number of Apex Packs available the following week.
Come week two, it’s all about earning those rewards. You’ll need to surmount five individual challenges to unlock a Legendary weapon skin hand-picked by the creators, along with those coveted Apex Packs from week one. Remember, participation in the first week doesn’t guarantee rewards for the second, so make sure to dive into battles during both weeks!
Here’s what you can look forward to from the Creator Commissioners:
– February 25 – March 10, 2025: Ninjayla with the legendary Wingman’s Death Ray skin
– March 11 – 24, 2025: Oraxe with Kraber’s The Pioneer skin
– April 1-14, 2025: Apryze with the Mastiff’s Bone Breaker skin
– April 15 – 28, 2025: Kaminari Kyupi with the Mastiff’s Tombstick skin
Introducing the Arsenals, a fantastic new feature in the Battle Royale realm, allowing you seamless access to the guns and ammo you desire. Strategically positioned across all Points of Interest on every map, these stations have fixed locations but offer random ammo types each match.
Arsenals not only provide the appropriate ammo for your chosen loadout but allow you to enhance your weaponry. One weapon per Arsenal can be upgraded, provided it matches the ammo type available. Enhancing grants better attachments and an optic, if needed. Once bins reset, so do Arsenals, allowing further upgrades with stronger effects. Not to mention, ammo availability soars considerably after a reset.
This season, expect some seriously bold meta tweaks that you’ll want to get familiar with quickly. For one, all weapon classes are being fine-tuned to compete more fiercely with Assault Rifles. The time-to-kill factor is on the decline, thanks to these weapon changes coupled with enhancements to Armor, Helmets, and headshot damage multipliers. On the Legend front, Assault class characters are boasting handy new perks, and both Ash and Ballistic are receiving some spotlight fixes. We’ve also revamped regen items, ensuring they remain useful against these formidable updates.
Enhance your gameplay with the Legend Spotlight Pass, where you can dive into challenges that increase your mastery of potential new Legends. As you progress through the twenty levels, you’ll work towards earning a Legendary skin pack for your chosen Legend. These passes—available for purchase once per season per Legend in the in-game store—will also unlock the Legend if you haven’t done so already.
Mark the date—Takeover begins February 11, 2025. Are you ready to rise, Legends?
