Nintendo Releases – December 26, 2024 – Updates

I gotta confess, Boxing Day really has me itching to throw a playful jab at a few devs right now.

In case you missed it, last week’s lineup saw the surprise release of the Indie World game Quilts and Cats of Calico. Also, North America got its hands on a new Dodonpachi bullet hell shooter called Saidaioujou. That, along with Taito’s Warrior Blade featuring in the Archives, kept things buzzing.

Spending the holidays at my parents’ place, which is smack dab in the middle of nowhere, meant enduring some serious internet struggles. Sifting through endless unappealing game listings on the eShops was uninspiring, especially when Europe seemed to enjoy the exact same game from different publishers. Not exactly a thrilling week for new releases for us. So, to wrap it up…

Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, or whatever you’re celebrating, I hope it’s wonderful. I wish Nintendo gets a visit from three helpful spirits that can guide them to fix this mess pronto. Catch you next week!

North America Releases

• Restaurant Tycoon: My Cooking Empire is dropping on Wednesday for $29.99 (or C$40.59).
• On Friday, check out Thinking of You: Beyond Time for $24.99 and Trench Shooter: Warfare Tactics available for $12.99.
• Star Trek: Legends beams down on Wednesday for $11.99.
• We’ve got Cyberpunk Speed Assassin at $10.99 and Airborne Grannies taking flight on Wednesday for $9.99.
• Plus, several budget-friendly options like Prison Escape Simulator: Breakout Master at $7.99 and Make It! Oden for just $5.00.

Do note there’s a significant stretch of good deals around, with pretty much every third-party having some kind of sale. A notable mention: The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is seeing a 25% discount until January 6th.

Europe Releases

• Restaurant Tycoon: My Cooking Empire also makes a debut here on Wednesday for €29.99 (£26.99).
• Paw Paw Destiny arrives on Monday at €14.99, while Star Trek: Legends and Airborne Grannies release on Wednesday for €11.99 and €9.99, respectively.
• Some more titles to look out for include TCG Empire: Card Shop Simulator (€9.99) and several others making a splash this week.

Japan Releases

• Japanese gamers can dive into Restaurant Tycoon: My Cooking Empire for ¥4680.
• Explore new adventure with The Owl Lurking in the Dusk… and others like Trench Shooter: Warfare Tactics (¥1999) and Sudoku Classic 2 priced at ¥600.
• And for the savvy shopper, Learn to Play: Santa’s Sleigh Ride is only ¥200.
