Today marks the release of Alien: Rogue Incursion for PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets. Meanwhile, those eager to play the Xenomorph-themed horror shooter on the Quest platform will have to wait until February next year. In an exciting development, the creators at Survios have announced they’re already well underway with the creation of ‘Part Two’.
Having already experienced Part One, we’ve assigned it a commendable rating of 7 out of 10 after a thorough review. We found its immersive environment and compelling storyline to be highlights, though these were somewhat overshadowed by redundant enemy encounters and a rather unforgiving save mechanism.
Clocking in at roughly eight hours, the game offers a heavy dose of Xenomorph encounters and gripping plot twists, making it more than capable of standing alone. However, once you’ve wrapped up Part One, you’ll certainly be left anticipating the action and developments Part Two promises to deliver.
Though details about what’s next remain sketchy, there’s chatter about a much-anticipated diversity beyond the samey Xenomorph encounters of Part One. The folks at Survios hint that Part Two will keep Zula’s journey alive, introducing her to fiercer foes and presenting harder challenges, which are already in the works.
But before we dive into Part Two, the first order of business is the Quest release of Part One, launching exclusively on Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Adapting all the dynamically loading levels, detailed textures, and physics-based interactions to fit Quest 3’s mobile chipset is no small feat, likely explaining the initial delay.
With the groundwork for Part One firmly in place, we’re hopeful for a swift transition to Zula Hendricks’ next—and possibly concluding—mission to purge the rogue science station of every last Xenomorph menace.
