Skydance Games is gearing up to release their highly anticipated PlayStation VR2 game, Behemoth, and fans can soon expect a physical edition set to launch on February 6, 2025. This follows its digital debut on PS VR2 and other current-generation VR headsets coming on December 5, 2024.
Initially, Behemoth was slated to hit the shelves today, November 14, 2024. However, the team opted for a slight delay announced back in September, deciding to take a bit more time to polish the game.
While the wait extends a bit longer for fans eager to confront Behemoth’s colossal creatures, the latest trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse of the cinematic action adventure that awaits players this December. It also introduces a new monstrous foe, the Nightscraper, a gigantic bat that promises a thrilling challenge.
Despite the PS VR2 community feeling the pinch from a lack of first-party content, they’re in for a treat with a wave of impressive third-party titles hitting the headset. Among these, Metro: Awakening stands out as one of the year’s finest horror experiences and a must-play on PS VR2. Similarly, Skydance’s Behemoth is shaping up to potentially join the ranks of top VR2 games, albeit from a pure power-fantasy perspective.
Where Metro: Awakening captivates with its emotional narrative and sense of vulnerability, Behemoth seems to promise an entirely different experience—an exhilarating VR escapade filled with earth-shattering battles, soaring grapple hook adventures, and confrontations with skyscraper-sized beasts. If the trailers are any indication, players can look forward to an epic and engaging VR journey.
